Our research is supported by income from a range of sources including philanthropic donors, government funding and research grants, support from industry and VU's internal research grants scheme.

Research Funding also circulates a monthly newsletter listing various opportunities to all Victoria University researchers.
Once you have identified a grant:
- Carefully read the funding rules or guidelines for that scheme
- Follow the process for submitting grants
All philanthropic funding opportunities are circulated and managed by the Advancement Office.
VU Research Fellowships
Research Fellowships are the arrangement through which VU allocates the University's human resources for research and research training.
How to apply
- Submit your notice of intent (NOI) at least 14 business days before the submission deadline.
- Download and complete the coversheet and costing tool from the Research Funding SharePoint site. (VU login required)
- Send the following information to at least 10 business days before the funding scheme due date:
- completed coversheet (Research Funding will arrange Institute sign-off)
- completed costing tool
- draft application
- draft of any required support letters.
- Research Funding will compliance check and review your application, and seek approval signatures on your behalf.
- Once your application is compliant and approved, you can either:
- submit your application to the Funder
- submit your application to Research Funding who will certify and submit on your behalf.
