This study abroad certificate allows you to start your career in financial planning and financial risk management in any modern financial services industry.

The recent global and regional financial crises have highlighted the need for higher level thoughtful planning which is essential for the long term sustainability of the financial sector. This course will expose you to the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges.

If you choose to build a career in the Australian financial sector (or a neighbouring region) studying in Australia will be a definite advantage. Completing the full course equips you with practical knowledge in the areas of:

  • financial planning

  • risk management and insurance

  • investment and portfolio management

  • taxation law

  • superannuation

  • estate planning.

To receive this study abroad certificate, you must successfully complete four units of study (courses) in one semester.

Entry requirements

To be part of the study abroad certificate program, students must have:

  • completed one year of tertiary study
  • fulfilled their home institution’s academic requirements for overseas study
  • have a 2.5 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale
  • provided documentation supporting their English language proficiency.
