The VU Early Uni Pathways (EUP) program is a partnership between VU and selected schools in the west of Melbourne. We offer scholarships to support EUP participants to take up their VU pathway offer.

Victoria University’s EUP scholarships provide recipients with $5000 per year for the duration of their higher education course (up to a maximum of four years, $20,000).

This scholarship is open to students who have participated in the Year 12 EUP program in one year for the following year's scholarship.

Scholarship applicants must take up their EUP conditional pathway offer or list Victoria University in their VTAC course-preference list. You do not need to lodge a VTAC scholarship application for this scholarship.

Applications closed at 5pm on 2 February 2018.

The scholarship is valued at $5000 each year for up to four years (maximum of $20,000).

To be considered for a Victoria University EUP scholarship you must:

  • be or have been enrolled in Year 12 at one of the participating EUP partner schools
  • successfully complete at least one EUP higher-education unit in the last two years
  • take up your EUP offer, or have applied to study an undergraduate course at Victoria University
  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Ongoing eligibility

Students who receive the scholarship must maintain full-time enrolment in a higher-education course, with the following exceptions and rules:

  • Students in exceptional circumstances that prevent full-time enrolment can seek approval to enrol part time by writing to the Scholarship Selection Panel. If approved, students will receive half payment ($10,000) per year, up to the maximum of $15,000 or $20,000 from their original offer.
  • Students who wish to have their scholarship put on hold while they take a leave of absence from their studies must seek approval by writing to the Scholarship Selection Panel. If approved, the scholarship payment will recommence upon their return to study.
  • Students must maintain a pass average.

In order to rank students of equal merit we will take into consideration the following:

  • academic record at school and university
  • involvement in extra-curricular activities within your school, community or home
  • the extent to which the scholarship will make a significant difference to your capacity to continue your education.
