We're holding an information session for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) and design students for the NASA Space School International Study Program in 2018.

The Space School provides you with the opportunity to get ahead, to learn and apply transportable skills in one of the world’s most profound and inspiring STEM environments – through space exploration and science at NASA.

This expedition will be a life-changing experience that will inspire a new generation of STEM-skilled leaders. It's designed to empower you to embrace and nurture your interest in science, technology, engineering and maths - the ultimate STEM experience!

The VU Academy for Social Change & Leadership is excited to offer our STEM students this unique opportunity to participate in the Space School program.

Program details

  • Dates: 9-22 December 2018
  • Duration: 14 days
  • Location: Houston, Texas, USA
  • Cost: $2,500 (includes tuition fees, admission to program events, accommodation, meals, airfares and insurance)
  • Only 21 places available.


  • The program is open to all current first year bachelor degree students (first year in 2017) enrolled in a STEM or design course at Victoria University.
  • Students must still be enrolled in a STEM or design course at Victoria University at the time of departure.
  • Selection will be merit-based and subject to your continuing academic performance.
  • You will be expected to fulfil the student commitments described on this page.

Student commitment

In order to participate in the program, you will:

  • be an ambassador for STEM and make at least two school visits to deliver an outreach program, and promote STEM and Victoria University.
  • pay $2,500 (per student). The remainder of the costs will be subsidised by sponsorship and Victoria University.
