Melbourne West's Ride2School Forum

Monday 4 March 2019

Did you know that only 2.6% of Melbourne children cycle to school? Join federal, state and local government representatives for a forum that will delve into this statistic with the aim of finding solutions.

Research also shows that most Australian children are not doing enough physical activity to maintain good health – making collaborative discussions such as this important for the wellbeing of our local community.

This forum will address questions such as:

  • Why aren’t our kids riding to school?
  • How can we change that?
  • What has worked elsewhere?
  • What can government do better?

Co-hosted by Tim Watts MP, Katie Hall (State Member for Footscray) and Megan Bridger-Darling (Maribyrnong City Councillor), the forum will bring together federal, state and local governments with schools, parents, cycling groups and members of the community to talk about this important issue.

This event is free and everyone is welcome at attend.
