Victoria University PHD Candidate and Western Bulldogs List and Recruitment Analyst, Sam Macintosh sits down with Jack Macrae to talk all things study and football.

Throughout the finals VU Data Lab has been breaking down performances of the Bulldogs players and team using the AFL player ratings. Jack Macrae is a top 10 midfielder in the league for both getting his hands on the ball, and also using the ball. He has broken possession records this season including:

  • 16 straight games of 30 or more possessions
  • the quickest player to record 5,000 disposals.

Jack is in his final year of a Bachelor of Business with a major in Management and Innovation. Jack says:

It's really important to have something outside of football, to not only keep you occupied and busy, but also to help after your career in footy. We all know it doesn't last forever, unfortunately. So yeah, it was really important to find something that could help move me in the direction when I do finish my career in something that I want to do.
