Overview
Prepare for the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) examination in this short course at Victoria University.
All students enrolled in a initial teacher education course need to pass the LANTITE exam to demonstrate that they are well equipped to meet the demands of teaching. The LANTITE Preparation Course aims to build your maths, writing and reading knowledge and confidence to help you succeed in the compulsory exam. It covers a range of general numeracy and literacy topics as well as technical writing skills.
With teacher support and feedback, you will develop strategies to prepare for LANTITE and use during the test. You will gain relevant skills in:
- spelling, grammar and punctuation
- vocabulary, reading and comprehension
- numbers and algebra
- measurement and geometry
- statistics and probability
- calculator and non-calculator questions.
Please note: this is a preparation course, this is not the LANTITE exam.

Course Structure
In order to be issued a Certificate of Participation for THAAA LANTITE Preparation Course, a student must attend the course.
Course delivery
This course will be delivered via Zoom.
You can choose if you want to attend literacy or numeracy only.
