Career symposium for VU business students
Victoria University Business School (VUSB) demonstrated its commitment to prepare VU business students with industry knowledge and confidence required for career success by offering a career coaching symposium at VU’s new City Tower Campus.
VU Business students at all levels, including VU Polytechnic business students had the opportunity to engage with leading industry partners and network with employers during the symposium.
Organiser Dr Chitra De Silva said the symposium reflected VU’s commitment to quality education as one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Industry engagement is one of the main priorities of the Bachelor of Business’s revitalisation. Our revitalised courses will have a strong focus on developing employability skills for students.”

The symposium was followed by a VU Employ workshop conducted by Tonya Wimhurst.
This was the VUSB’s second career coaching symposium. Other organisers were Dr Ranjith Ihalanayake, Dr Syed Haider, and Associate Professors David Goodwin and Romana Garma.
