About Selvi Kannan
Selvi Kannan is an experienced Lecturer and Course Chair of Innovation & Management within Victoria University Business School. She specialises in teaching innovation & entrepreneurship, knowledge management & organisational learning, and change management, all with the view to preparing students with future skills to be ready for the professional world (embracing innovation, technology and human connections).
Selvi's research focuses on how knowledge transpires in innovative organisations that includes people and machines. Her research work has contributed to understanding of knowledge in a disruptive, changing environment and has been premised in novices, experts, gender, Australian organisations and global innovation hubs. Selvi acts as Editorial Member with a number of journals.
She demonstrated leadership in education by engaging with organisations and other learning institutes. She acts as Mentor and Instructor with Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology, UC Berkeley, Monash Alumni and APR.Intern (Melbourne University).
Her industry experience can be seen from her strong network globally. She has been involved at strategic, functional, steering committee and regulatory work at national and international board levels.
Selvi is also a Visiting Scholar at Griffith University, ARC Research Hub for Driving Farming Productivity and Disease Prevention, Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems.
