We offer scholarships for tuition fees and a living allowance (stipend) to assist graduate research students (both domestic and international) with the costs of their study.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit with preference given to students undertaking projects in:

Application dates

Applications for the main round of research scholarships (RTP Stipend Scholarships, VUPRS, VU diversity scholarship, and VUIPRS) are accepted during the following periods each year (for commencement in the following academic year):

  • International applicants - 14 August to 30 September.
  • Domestics applicants - 1 September to 31 October.
