Victoria University's world-leading researchers are available to supervise successful graduate research scholarship applicants. We will help you become a research-qualified professional.
Scholarships are awarded competitively and selection is based on academic merit and research potential, with preference given to students undertaking projects in:
- one of our areas of research priority
- areas relevant to the research being undertaken in our research institutes and centres
- projects supported by industry partners or part of externally funded research programs
- Moondani Balluk research scholarships, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Applications for Research Period 1 2027 are now open.
- Select your research-focus outline (RFO).
- Contact the principal supervisor to discuss your interest in and suitability for the research topic.
- Read our application guide for graduate research stipend scholarships.

All scholarship applicants must meet our academic entry requirements for graduate research, in addition to any eligibility requirements for a specific scholarship.
