Orientation is a great way to start university or TAFE. You'll get important course information and meet other students at fun social events.

Join the O-Fest social program in addition to your Orientation to make friends, join a club or society, find out about all the programs and support services available to you at VU, and participate in some fun activities.

2022 Orientation program

New to VU? Make sure you attend your Welcome session(s) as well as our in person and online O-Fest activities and social program.

Be sure to watch all of the Getting Connected videos before your Welcome as these contain essential information to help you get ready for your first day of classes.

You will receive an email with details on how to access your relevant sessions.

Please note: To self-select your break out room in your Zoom Welcome sessions you will require the desktop or mobile app (version 5.3.0 or higher). We recommend that you download the Zoom desktop app prior to your Student Welcome session.

During the session you will:

  • be able to ask questions

ISAs understand the challenges you might face as you adjust to a new culture and environment. There is a lot of important information you need to know including, your rights as an international student studying in Australia. Your ISAs will help you every step of the way.
