2021 Orientation program

New to VU? Make sure you attend your Welcome session(s) as well as our in person and online O-Fest activities and social program.

Be sure to watch all of the Getting Connected videos before your Welcome as these contain essential information to help you get ready for your first day of classes.

Please note: To self-select your break out room in your Zoom Welcome sessions you will require the desktop or mobile app (version 5.3.0 or higher). We recommend that you download the Zoom desktop app prior to your Student Welcome session.

Higher Education Diploma welcome session

If you are an international student starting your course, please attend one compulsory Meet Your International Student Advisors (MYISA) session.

During the session you will:

  • find out about VU's many support services 
  • hear about services in the community and how to get involved
  • be able to ask questions
  • learn how your International Student Advisors (ISAs) can help you.

ISAs understand the challenges you might face as you adjust to a new culture and environment. There is a lot of important information you need to know including, your rights as an international student studying in Australia. Your ISAs will help you every step of the way.
