Orientation is a great way to start university or TAFE. You'll get important course information and meet other students at fun social events. Currently our Orientation sessions are being held online.

Join the O-Fest social program in addition to your Orientation to make friends, join a club or society, find out about all the programs and support services available to you at VU, and participate in some fun activities.

2021 orientation program

New to VU? Make sure you attend your Welcome session(s) as well as our virtual O-Fest activities and social program.

Be sure to watch all of the Getting Connected videos before your Welcome as these contain essential information to help you get ready for your first day of classes.

You will receive an email with details on how to access your relevant sessions.

If you’re starting an undergraduate degree in Semester 1 Block 3, come along to your Welcome Session to get prepared to commence your studies. You'll have the opportunity to ask academic staff, Student Mentors, and Student Advisors any questions you might have.

All sessions will be hosted via the Zoom online platform during the week of 26-30 April 2021.

Come along to your virtual postgraduate orientation session to get to know our friendly college and school staff. Gain all the essential information you need to start your study.

If you are commencing your Foundations course, please attend the compulsory VU College Course Welcome for the Foundation Programs.

During your orientation you will learn about the Foundation program, get the opportunity to meet your classmates, receive enrolment support and learn how to navigate the VU Collaborate platform in a session delivered by your teachers.

All sessions will be hosted via the Zoom online meeting platform.

You will receive the meeting information for your session via email.

As a new international student, you must attend one compulsory Meet Your International Student Advisors session before your course start date.

International Student Advisors (ISAs) understand the challenges you might face as you adjust to a new culture and environment. Your dedicated ISAs will provide you with information and support every step of the way.

You can ask questions and find out about VU's many support services to help you make the most of your time at VU.
