We hope that studying with us is one of the most memorable times of your life.

Orientation is a great way to start university or TAFE. You'll get important course information and meet other students at fun social events. Currently our Orientation sessions are being held online.

Join the O-Fest social program in addition to your Orientation to make friends, join a club or society, find out about all the programs and support services available to you at VU, and participate in some fun activities.

Be sure to watch all of the Getting Connected videos before your Welcome as these contain essential information to help you get ready for your first day of classes.

You will receive an email with details on how to access your relevant sessions.

If you’re about to commence an undergraduate degree in January, come along to this Welcome Session to get prepared before your first class. You'll have the opportunity to ask academic staff, Student Mentors, and Student Advisors any questions you might have.

Starting university can be a big step. Come along to our annual Orientation event - VU Family Welcome – to learn how to support your child, parent or friend starting their studies in 2021.

You will learn more about: 

  • the difference between studying at high school and university
  • housing, fees, scholarships and more
  • VU's free support services
  • current students' experiences.

If you’re about to commence your studies with Victoria University Business School, come along to this Welcome Session to get prepared. You'll have the opportunity to ask academic staff, Student Mentors, and Student Advisors any questions you might have.

If you are commencing your Foundations course, please attend the compulsory VU College Course Welcome for the Foundation Programs.

During your orientation you will learn about the Foundation program, get the opportunity to meet your classmates, receive enrolment support and learn how to navigate the VU Collaborate platform in a session delivered by your teachers.

All sessions will be hosted via the Zoom online meeting platform.

Foundations Welcome

If you’re about to commence a Higher Education Diploma course with VU College, come along to your Welcome Session to get prepared to commence your studies.

During your orientation your Program Managers will provide you with important information about you course. You will also get the opportunity to meet your classmates and teachers, plus have the opportunity to ask any questions before your course commences.

All sessions will be hosted via the Zoom online meeting platform.

Higher Education Diploma Welcome session

Friday 19 February, 10am–12pm AEDT

If you are commencing one of the following courses, please attend the Higher Education Diploma Welcome:

  • VDBE Diploma of Business (Enterprise)
  • VDEN Diploma of Engineering
  • VDIT Diploma of Information Technology.

As a new international student, you must attend one compulsory Meet Your International Student Advisors session before your course start date.

International Student Advisors (ISAs) understand the challenges you might face as you adjust to a new culture and environment. Our dedicated ISAs will provide you with information and support every step of the way.

You can ask questions and find out about VU's many support services to help you make the most of your time at VU.
