Overview

The unit introduces the students to the behaviour, properties, performance and limitations of the most widely used construction materials. It also incorporates a comprehensive approach relating to the discovery and application of sustainable measures and initiatives in the area of modern building materials. The important link between ecologically sustainable design and construction material choice is explored, including the significance of Green Star Ratings.
