Overview

The General English 2B unit aims to develop student’s general English proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking, grammar and vocabulary. The unit is for students with Pre Intermediate level of English and focuses on a range of familiar topics such as Travel, Future Plans, Comparisons and Biographies.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Listening: Comprehend & respond to simple, informational and transactional exchanges;
  2. Reading: Comprehend a range of simple transactional (invitations, job descriptions, and timetable) and informational texts;
  3. Writing: Write a range of short simple texts on familiar and unfamiliar topics; and
  4. Speaking: Participate in short social, informational and transactional exchanges.
