Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - writing skills; - reading skills to interpret basic documents such as written instructions, basic research and resource information; - oral communication skills; - learning skills; - teamwork skills; - planning and organising skills, and; - technology skills.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - financial incentives that are available to apprentices and trainees; - personal learning styles; - relationship between roles within the building and construction industries; - industry and company specific policies and procedures regarding training and employment, and; - industry services, facilities and activities.
