Master of Business Analytics graduate Sumanth Kovaithambi Mohandurai says Victoria University’s hands-on approach, focus on SAP and industry-expert teachers provided the best qualification to develop his business.
“I always wanted to study in Australia, in particular Victoria University. When browsing universities, I was impressed with VU’s range of courses, and the prompt, helpful response I received.
I was running our family business – educational institution Motherlaand Matric Higher Secondary School – back in India. I knew postgraduate studies would help me to take the organisation to greater heights. I was keen to handle my own business analytics, and there is great demand for analysts around the world, so I chose the
Master of Business Analytics.
One of the best parts of the course is the significant SAP component. SAP is an expensive piece of software, and I feel privileged to have used it and learned from teachers who are so skilled in it from their own professional experience.
Remote learning was challenging – we need physical interaction with teachers and the software, but with the professors taking extra time to help out, I managed to finish most units online.
I believe everyone should live their dreams by doing something useful and productive. Being an entrepreneur, I know the value of hard work and making every second count. In our business we aim to achieve greatness, improving the organisation and our people. My advice is: whatever happens, life must go on – so never give up!
Currently my school has 1200 students from grades one to 12, and 50 employees. I plan to expand and provide a world-class education for students to graduate with flying colours.
My masters will have a great impact because it will empower me to confidently improve my business model in many different ways.”
