A sporting passion for health & wellbeing

My extensive clinical placements gave me great professional confidence.

Luke Postlethwaite
Master of Clinical Exercise Science and Rehabilitation

Founder of holistic health and fitness provider The Biomechanics, Luke Postlethwaite credits his success with the practical approach of his VU studies, and his own determination.

“After completing my exercise science degree at VU, I pursued my masters to become an accredited exercise physiologist (AEP) in the sport health field.

During my Master of Clinical Exercise Science and Rehabilitation I undertook more than 600 hours of placements, one of which was in a spine and sports clinic, which gave me great professional confidence and enabled me to immediately put my learnings into practice.

Six months into my masters I kicked off our business, The Biomechanics. We have grown to a team of 11 highly passionate individuals offering a range of services such as podiatry, osteopathy, psychology, exercise physiology and education. Our whole philosophy is about creating and promoting an ethical, client-centric healthcare model.

The education component to the business is called The Knowledge Exchange – we expose health practitioners, doctors and corporations to a contemporary understanding of pain science and ethical health care and bring in global experts to share our knowledge.”
