About Assefa Kassa Teshome
Dr Assefa K. Teshome is a tenured Senior Lecturer and Chair of Bachelor of Cybersecurity with CoABLEIT. He is also a researcher with the Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities (ISILC) in the Intelligent Technology Innovation Lab (ITIL) group and the Smart Electronic Systems Research Group in the College of Engineering and Science.
Assefa is a passionate researcher, engineer and educator with several years of experience in academia and industry in the fields of:
- electronic and telecommunications engineering
- digital signal processing and artificial intelligence
- emerging wireless body-area and implant communication techniques.
His current research focuses on artificial intelligence, digital signal processing and signal propagation techniques for intelligent biometric and biomedical applications in the areas of health, sports and defence. Assefa is an active member of IEEE where he is a contributor and reviewer for several IEEE Transactions and Journals.
