Can Chinese medicine lower cholesterol?

A Victoria University researcher is seeking participants aged 40 to 70 with high cholesterol for a study investigating if Chinese medicine can help lower cholesterol.

The study will look at the effectiveness of Hawthorn fruit and Chinese kiwi fruit, foods commonly used in Chinese medicine to regulate cholesterol.

Participants will consume a powder extract for eight weeks and provide three blood samples. They will receive regular Chinese Medicine health assessments during the trial.
