New college structure

The College of Health and Biomedicine is now incorporated into the newly formed College of Sport, Health and Engineering. Please refer to that college for the latest information.

From nursing and osteopathy to paramedicine, our courses are held in high regard both in Australia and around the world. We have carved a niche in the osteopathy and dermal therapy sectors, being one of very few universities in Australia offering accredited courses in these areas.

You'll enjoy the benefits of customised, technology-enhanced learning and our strong partnerships with the healthcare industry. We also have a number of on-campus clinics, where you can apply your skills in real industry settings.

Flexible pathways and hands-on approach to teaching, learning and research provide you with relevant experience that prepares you for a successful career. We are committed to the internationalisation of the curriculum to enable students to gain global experience, and we also host off-shore students.

Our facilities

We have state-of-the-art simulation laboratories with interactive mannequin technology, high-tech nursing laboratories designed to emulate a hospital environment, dedicated student-run health clinics for psychology, nutrition, osteopathy and dermal therapies, and purpose-built training facilities.

Our senior osteopathy, dermal science and nutrition students provide treatment and advice to patients (with supervision of qualified, registered practitioners).

At the Institute for Health and Sport (IHES), we conduct research into real-world health and sport issues.
