Jett’s story: Partnerships
Bachelor of Sport Management student Jett has always loved sport – and his Victoria University (VU) course experience has proved, thanks to strong links with partnerships, that he's in the right place. Hear from him on how his love for sports has been easily matched by our close relationships with the sport industry.
Jett
My name is Jett and I'm a VU student studying sport management.
I grew up in in Brunswick so I've been there, been there my whole life. Half my family's from China so we obviously go oversea sometimes. I graduated last year from high school so fresh first year into VU.
My favourite thing to do as a kid was kicking footy with my dad at the park, the best thing to do. I always knew I wanted to be in sports in general and I always wanted to own a business.
So, when I saw sports management – to be to be my own person involved in a business, involving sports, it just had me hooked straight away.
I know VU has amazing partnerships in the university, one of them being the Western Bulldogs. I love my footy.
That was one of the biggest things that hooked me. It was all the sport and big team partnerships here.
There's just so many opportunities for me to be in, not only footy, but just different sports in general.
I was really glad when VU reached out to me. They were the first one. I'd like to believe that they believed in me a lot because they reached out to me first.
My biggest dream right after uni is to be a player agent, get into agency, run my own business, represent athletes and that's why I chose VU.
