VU Polytechnic Cookery Students Serve Up a Feast at the 2022 Hume Harvest Festival

In partnership with Hume City Council, Victoria University Polytechnic sponsored this year’s Hume Harvest: A celebration of local food and wine at The Nook in Sunbury on 2 April.

The afternoon featured food and wine, and music from acts such as Gretta Ray and Pete Murray. Featured local wineries included Marnong Estate, Goonawarra and Arundel Farm Estate and an array of local food providers from the region.

VU Polytechnic’s Certificate III in Commercial Cookery SIT30816 students prepared a range of samples for the attendees, including pork belly skewers, sliders, brownies and donuts.

The stall was a hit as they showcased their culinary skills in an outdoor event.
