VU disciplines gain stars in Good Universities Guide

Victoria University maintains its overall five star rating for First Generation in the new Good Universities Guide with three discipline areas also picking up additional five stars within their fields.

Victoria University maintained its overall five star rating for First Generation in the new Good Universities Guide released today, with three discipline areas also picking up additional five stars within their fields.

First Generation refers to VU's First in Family admissions program for students coming from families where no one has attended University before them.

The Good Universities Guide is an online resource and printed publication that helps students, families and job seekers to search and find courses, compare university ratings and explore careers.

The guide published independent five star ratings for every University in Australia, for a number of overall categories as well as individual disciplines.

Discipline highlights

VU maintained five star ratings across the following discipline areas, as well as picking up additional five star ratings within these fields.

Business Management:

  • Skills Development (new)
  • Learner Engagement

Creative Arts:

  • Learner Engagement (new)
  • Student Support

Humanities, Culture and Social Sciences

  • Median Salary (new)
  • Teaching Quality (new)
  • Skills Development

Information used in the guide is based on data already published and available such as the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching data, including the Student Experience Survey and Federal Department of Education data.
