Open Access Week 2019: Five steps to open knowledge

For Open Access Week 2019, VU Library offers short online activities to support open knowledge.
Friday 18 October 2019

To mark International Open Access Week (21-25 October), VU researchers and teaching staff are invited to consider how they can open knowledge to ensure equity.

During Open Access Week 2019 at Victoria University, take a step each day towards opening up knowledge.

From Monday 21 October, the Open Access Week 2019 Guide will be available to view online activities, and each day a new page will be revealed. Return to the Guide each day to consider a different aspect of Open Access and how it impacts you in your research or teaching:

  1. Monday: Understand Open Access
  2. Tuesday: Consider copyright
  3. Wednesday: Beware of predatory publishers
  4. Thursday: Look for Open Educational Resources
  5. Friday: Check Open Access numbers

You can also drop in on Wednesday 23 October 2019 from 12pm - 2pm to talk about Open Access with Librarians.

After Open Access Week, the entire Open Access Week 2019 Guide will be available for reference as you work towards opening up knowledge.
