Help pick a theme for Picturing Footscray 2019
Picturing Footscray, an annual photography prize and exhibition, will return to VU at MetroWest for its fourth year in May 2019, with entries opening in March.
The photography prize celebrates the uniqueness and cultural diversity of Footscray, with both amateur and professional photographers encouraged to enter photographs that capture this essence.
Hundreds of entries are received and displayed in an inclusive, salon-style exhibition where a variety of styles, subjects and viewpoints are brought together with the same focus – Footscray.
Entry is free and open to anyone who would like to explore Footscray with a camera.
Help us pick a theme
Each year Picturing Footscray has had a guiding theme, with previous years focusing on the colour blue and ‘old and new’.
In 2019, we are seeking community feedback on the theme. Based on suggestions from previous Picturing Footscray entrants, the theme options are:
- Industrial Past
- The Changing Face of Footscray
- West Envy (What does Footscray have that others don’t?)
- Belonging in Footscray
Vote for your favourite theme on the VU in the Community facebook page.
