Governance & law conference looks across borders

A conference about the sophisticated legal and governance skills needed to address complex modern issues will be held 28-29 April at our City Flinders Campus.

A conference about the sophisticated legal and governance skills needed to address complex modern issues will be held 28-29 April at Victoria University’s City Flinders Campus.

The two-day event, Governance and Law: Across Borders, aims to bridge fences between countries, disciplines, and modes of thinking for researchers, lecturers, policy makers, legal professionals and community leaders.

The conference will be opened by keynote speaker Josh Frydenberg, MP, Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia discussing international governance and relations.

Other topics that day will address governance as it relates to finance, law, health and regulations.

World Vision Director and Geelong Football Club president Colin Carter will be the keynote speaker on the second day.

Topics this day include board effectiveness, corporate social responsibility, ethics and human rights, and leadership and governance.
