Got IT skills? Help kids with Asperger's and Autism at The Lab

Have you got IT or gaming skills? If you'd like to help kids with Asperger's and Autism, sign up for The Lab, a not for profit project.

The Lab is a not for profit enterprise whose first site was created in Hornsby by VU researcher Dr Stefan Schutt and Dale Lingar. Dr Schutt is a research program leader at the VU's Centre for Cultural Diversity and Wellbeing. The Lab Network aims to assist kids with Asperger's and high-functioning Autism improve their social skills and reduce their isolation in the community.

The Lab runs a mentoring program with staff offering technical IT skills - or even just some time to enjoy gaming together.

The Lab network is now expanding, and there are sites all over Australia calling for mentors. You can be a mentor if you have skills in graphic design, video creation or even Steam and Minecraft.
