Ballot Required for the Student Elected Position - VU Council

The number of nominations received for the student elected position to Council at the close of the nominations period at 4.00pm AEST, Friday 3rd June 2016 exceeded the number of vacancies (one).

Consequently, an election is required and will be conducted electronically for the category of student elected member to Council.

The election will be conducted from 9.00am AEST, Monday, 18 July 2016 to 4.00pm, Thursday, 28 July 2016.

Eligibility to vote

All students enrolled in an award course at the University are eligible to vote in this election. Per the Elections Regulations 2016, Regulation 12.(3), “a student who is not enrolled in an award course at the University (as opposed to a non-award course) is neither eligible to be on the voters' roll, nor eligible to be nominated for election as a student member of the Council.”
