Drop in online and chat to a librarian to assist you with finding resources for your assignment or information on how to reference, and to develop skills beyond the basics.

Online drop-ins are open to all VU students (TAFE, undergraduate and postgraduate) from each discipline area. Sessions are free and appointments are not required.

Research & referencing drop-ins

Sessions are offered online. Connect via Zoom through the VU Collaborate Learning Hub, Zoom Classroom section.

Drop-in times are:

  • Until 24 July: every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12.30pm-1.30pm.
  • From 27 July to 20 November: Monday to Friday, 12.30pm-1.30pm.

No drop-ins on public holidays:

  • AFL Grand Final holiday: Friday 23 October
  • Melbourne Cup: Tuesday 3 November

Finding law resources

Talk with librarians about the range of resources available in law and criminology from first year to PhD: case law, legislation, journals, books and more. Get tips on how to search for resources more effectively and reference them correctly.

Zoom meetings are available Monday - Friday between 8am and 4pm, by appointment.

Email the law librarians to book an appointment and please state your preferred time/day:

A law librarian will reply with a confirmation of your appointment and  a link to the Zoom meeting.

Finding health & biomedicine resources

Talk with librarians online about the resources available in health and biomedicine from First Year to PhD. Get tips on how to:

  • locate sources for your assessment tasks
  • plan effective strategies search
  • evaluate information
  • manage your references.
