Forging strong partnerships between industry and academia

This event has already taken place.

Friday 21 October 2016

This event is part of the Victoria University Research Festival, taking place 17-28 October 2016.

The activity will bring together five cross-disciplinary industry bodies & associations, and VU researchers in an attempt to forge strong partnerships between industry and academia. Invited presenters will highlight recent developments and challenges in their industries.

The presentations will provide a great opportunity for attendees to understand some of the latest research and development needs in a range of industries including:

  • electricity
  • water
  • integrative medicine
  • red meat processing
  • environmental safety.

After the event, participating researchers will be able to comprehend and identify research funding opportunities in these sectors.

This interactive forum is a chance for participating industries to outline problems that they face. Researches can then learn about and understand the problems being encountered so that they may assist with research solutions.
