Amnesty International Campus Tour

You are invited to attend the Amnesty International Campus Tour 2019 to share in the work of Amnesty International student branches across Victoria.
Hosted by Amnesty International at VU, the event welcomes human rights activists and advocates to meet, share their initiatives and raise awareness of how we can best support those suffering injustices in our global community.
This event will be chaired by Sarah O'Grady and Ibrahim Genc, Amnesty International at VU president and vice-president respectively.
Guest speakers and their topics include:
- Dr Amy Nethery
Secrecy and why it matters for off-shore detention. - Penny Smits
Reclaiming the narrative, dealing with negative press. - Leighann Spencer
Impediments to protecting human rights: The Turkey case.
The presentations will be followed by an interactive Q&A session where all participants are invited to contribute to a meaningful discussion.
