Established in 1999, The Asia Australia Business College (AABC) is jointly run by Liaoning University (LU) and Victoria University (VU).

The courses offered at AABC/LU follow a 2+2 model, this means you can commence a Victoria University Diploma of Business (Enterprise) taught at AABC, before entering a Bachelor of Business courses with one year of credit (also known as advanced standing).

You can then complete the remaining two years of the bachelor degree at either Victoria University in Melbourne or AABC/LU in China.

In Melbourne, you can select one of the Bachelor of Business specialisations (but must be according to the policy of LU at the same time); at AABC, three specialisations are offered.

Academic requirements

To transfer into one of Bachelor of Business courses, Diploma of Business (Enterprise) students need to have completed either:

  • 8 subjects at AABC, then study 4 semesters (equivalent to 16 subjects) at Victoria University in Melbourne; or
  • 6 or 7 subjects at AABC, then study 5 semesters or 4 semesters plus 1 semester of summer or winter school (equivalent to 17 or 18 subjects) at Victoria University in Melbourne; or
  • 5 or less subjects at AABC and study the remaining Diploma of Business (Enterprise) subjects at AABC or Victoria University in Melbourne before commencing a Bachelor of Business course.

The process is similar if you are transferring after two-and-a-half or three years of study, but your remaining course duration is shorter and is calculated on an individual basis.
