APT7002 - Professional Counselling Project A
(Or equivalent to be determined by unit coordinator)


This unit and APT7002 are the capstone units for the program. This unit requires students to have completed APT7002 first, and to execute the project proposal that they have designed in that class. Following the implementation of the project, students will evaluate and discuss the outcomes, and prepare a professional report suitable to provide to the field agency.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Implement appropriate methods to conduct the project;
  2. Evaluate and discuss the project outcomes;
  3. Produce a professional report suitable for submission to the field placement agency; and
  4. Integrate and evaluate the learning acquired in academic course work and on placement.

Self-reflection (on processes, outcomes and consolidation of learning) (1000 words)

Final individual project report including introduction, methodology, outcomes and conclusions (2500 words)

Individual in-class presentation on the project execution (20 mins including Q&A)
