Overview

The minor thesis is for students intending to undertake a PhD and need to undertake a minor thesis to qualify. Under supervision, students choose, design and execute a research thesis. The thesis will involve collecting, analysing and interpreting empirical data and submit a dissertation. The project will be conducted as per VU ethics requirements.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Conduct a complex research project including collection and analysis of research data within ethical and practical constraints;
  2. Synthesise literature, data and experience in the interpreting research findings;
  3. Exemplify a scholarly approach to develop a concise, clearly structured thesis.
