Overview

Participants of this unit will gain an overview of the fundamental business processes and tasks of Management Accounting with the SAP S/4HANA application. You will learn how SAP S/4HANA covers the Management Accounting related business requirements and how the fundamental business processes and tasks are executed in the system. Organisational Units, Master Data Management, Logistics Integration, Planning, Analytics, Daily Postings and Period End Closing are all discussed in this course. Especially if you are new to Management Accounting in SAP S/4HANA, this unit is the right starting point for you. If you plan to take the academy and certification for Management Accounting, this unit will help you to better digest the certification courses. For the actual certification, it is recommended, but not mandatory.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Outline business concepts and methods involved in Management Accounting in the SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management;
  2. Perform planning in Integrated Business Planning for Finance and outline Integrated Planning in Management Accounting;
  3. Perform daily postings in Management Accounting and make use of System Integration; and,
  4. Carry out Period End Closing in Overhead Management Accounting, Product Cost Controlling and Profitability Analysis.
