This unit is the second in a sequence of four in which students develop relevant professional knowledge, skills and attributes to assess communication and swallowing needs. This unit builds on the content of HHB4001 Speech Pathology Assessment Practices 1 to consider the tools for analysis of gathered assessment data for speech, language, voice, multi-modal communication, stuttering and swallowing models of practice. Learning activities will include inquiry, case studies, role play, gap analysis and reflection. Students will also engage in a community visit during this unit. This visit will foster their understanding of speech and language in diverse community groups.
