Overview

Gain business experience in the unit Workplace Learning.

You will be exposed to a real-world work setting, allowing you to learn directly from experienced professionals. You will have the opportunity to develop your professional and practical skills and increase your employability, networks and industry understanding. You will be required to describe and analyse the role you are undertaking and the workplace context in which your learning is occurring. You will critically reflect on feedback on your performance, what you have learned about yourself and how your academic studies have prepared you to be an effective employee. A career plan will be developed, informed by the insights you have gained.

Real-world work settings may include short-term workplace assignments, industry-linked projects, internships or practicums, part-time or casual employment or voluntary work in a course-relevant industry sector. These supervised settings will allow the practical application of knowledge gained through your previous studies.

All activities for this unit must be pre-approved and authorised by the Work-place Learning team. Credit will not be approved retrospectively for unauthorised activities.
