Overview

Develop expertise in business-process design, supported by practical skills in business process management workflow application, within the Business Process Reengineering.

This unit will introduce you to the major strategic approaches used to understand, analyse, and implement efficient business processes.

You will discover the importance of creating efficient processes through:

  • analysing strategic and organisational issues within enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs)
  • applying process management techniques.

Using business process workflow application software, you will gain practical skills in the Workflow module for process and procedure modelling.

You will also examine the issues that you are likely to encounter in identifying, reorganising, and designing processes in a business organisation.

By the end of the unit, you will understand how designing and re-engineering business processes can provide organisations with strategic advantages.
