A mere six months after landing her dream job as an executive with Marketing Eye, Samantha Dargan was promoted to marketing manager.
“I wanted to study at a university that understood the career path I was taking. VU reflected this and exceeded my expectations at every point during my time there. The ongoing support from my teachers at VU and Victoria University Polytechnic really enabled me to master my marketing profession.
During my studies I undertook an internship with the Cotton On Group. After I finished my degree, I was kept on as marketing assistant – a role they created especially for me.
Recently, I was selected to be on the panel for developing Robotic Marketer – currently the first robot in the world designed to replace staff developing and writing marketing strategies. I consider this to be one of my greatest career achievements. It was my time at VU that helped develop my knowledge and passion around technology and marketing.
I also write for the Marketing Eye Magazine, which can be found in Qantas lounges.
I was so inspired by my placement course at VU that I now help manage the internship program at Marketing Eye Melbourne. Nothing makes me happier than to be in a position now to help support others in their career paths.”
