The structure of the course is very good. It’s not just about sport management but marketing, law and business integrity as well.

With a nine-year track record as a physical education teacher and head of the sports department at Cambridge International School in Punjab, India, Neha Jhunjhunwala chose VU to take her career to the next level.
The international student is studying the Master of Sport Business and Integrity – one of the many sports and exercise science courses that VU offers as a leading Australian sports university.
"The structure of the course is very good, it’s not just about sport management but marketing, law and business integrity as well,"
Neha, a black belt in martial arts, says.
"I have established an international vision of what sports is like in other countries,"
she says.
Aside from the course structure, Neha says she was attracted to VU because of its close sports links with her home country.
Since 2013, the Australian Government has supported VU to develop key initiatives in India as part of an overarching Australia-India program for cooperation in sport.
Building on the program, VU joined forces with the University of Canberra in April 2017 to help establish India’s first national sports university, and signed another two Memoranda of Understandings with India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport, and the Sports Authority of India’s National Institute of Sport.
"India is a developing country and it is doing very well in sports,"
Neha says.
"Once I finish the course I want to join a league or an association to help develop sports at a grassroots level.
"There are a lot of other leagues besides cricket which are gaining popularity in India and we are improving at an international level so it’s a good opportunity to be part of it."
