Australia has one of the most open economies in the world, where one in five jobs exist because of international trade activities.

Our program is a mix of economic theory and practical business process applications. You'll experience aspects of international trade through simulated work environments. Our authentic industry material prepares you for a successful career.

You will be exposed to a range of international trade considerations.

  • Free Trade Agreements - The Australia New Zealand FTA is the World Trade Organization’s reference standard.

  • Customs practices - Australia is currently the world leader in customs risk management procedures and e-commerce for export and import clearance.

  • Quarantine and market access - Import/export quarantine in Australia is the strictest in the world.

  • Delivery and payment risks - Incoterms and payment methods.

To receive the certificate, you must successfully complete four units of study (courses) in one semester.

Entry requirements

To be part of the Study Abroad certificate program, students must have:

  • completed one year of tertiary study
  • fulfilled their home institution’s academic requirements for overseas study
  • have a 2.5 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale
  • provided documentation supporting their English language proficiency.
