Victoria Police officers interested pursing a law degree may be able to pathway into a law degree through the Police Prosecutors Pathway, an initiative of VU's College of Law & Justice.
The pathway recognises a Victoria Police officers' previous study, work skills and past experience as credits towards completion of the law degree.
Successful completion of the following Victoria Police programs are recognised by the College of Law & Justice as relevant prior learning for your law degree:
- Diploma of Policing
- Graduate Certificate in Public Safety (Police Prosecution).
As such, the University can credit you with Advanced Standing (credit) for certain units, which will enable you to ‘streamline’ your degree and achieve your goal faster.
You may be able to complete your law degree with the College of Law and Justice at Victoria University in as little as 2 years.
