Bachelor degrees (undergraduate) 4 courses

Our Office for Research provides support to our current and future researchers, such as:

  • identify a research topic
  • find a supervisor
  • apply for research supervision or grants.
Duration: 2 years

Gain a solid foundation in research methods before undertaking a thesis related to 'sustainable and liveable cities'. This masters allows bachelor-degree graduates in any discipline to undertake a research degree.

Duration: 2 years

Develop your knowledge and focus your practical skills on a specific research area in engineering with the Master of Engineering (by Research).

Duration: 1.5 years

Complete a Master of Research in 18 months, in the areas of industry, community or urban development. This degree is tailored to graduates with a related bachelor degree, or an honours degree in a different discipline.

Duration: 1 year

The Master of Research Practice recognises honours qualifications, accelerating your study in the areas of industry, community or the built environment.

TAFE certificates & diplomas 9 courses

Duration: 3 years

Develop practical skills and knowledge in a fast-growing industry with a Certificate III in Civil Construction apprenticeship.

Duration: 1.5 years
In this course you will learn advanced trade skills for a career in engineering. You’ll gain strong practical and theoretical knowledge that will ensure you are work ready.

Lay the foundation for a career in the engineering industry with a Certificate II in Engineering pre-apprenticeship.
Duration: 1 year
Take your engineering interests to the next level. This course provides offers an opportunity for tradespeople to upgrade their qualifications, and entry into technician positions in industry.

Lay the foundation for a career in metal fabrication and engineering with a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) at Victoria University Polytechnic.

Begin your career as a mechanical engineering tradesperson with the Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) at Victoria University Polytechnic.

This hands-on course is designed for people looking to enter an engineering apprenticeship or who are already doing some engineering work and would like to gain accreditation and a pathway to a full apprenticeship.

Duration: 2 years
Learn the technical skills to design, validate and evaluate electrical equipment and systems for a career in electrical engineering.
Duration: 1 year
Learn how to set up and maintain automated equipment and systems.

Duration: 16 hours
Gain a fundamental understanding of control processes & applications of direct digital controllers (DDCs) in the HVAC and BMS sector.
Duration: 72 hours
Gain data cabling knowledge in electrical classification, rules, data and telephony installation techniques, dossiers and related mandatory documentation and inspections.
Duration: 36 hours

Gain practical skills in the use of Revit Architecture to model internal and external building designs in 2D and 3D.
