2025 VU Early Entry monthly prize draw competition - terms & conditions

By entering the 2025 VU Early Entry Monthly Prize Draw ("the Promotion"), you (“the Entrant”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

  1. All information on 'how to enter' forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering into these Terms and Conditions, the Entrant warrants that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Promoter is Victoria University (ABN: 83 776 954 731, CRICOS Provider No. 00124K) PO Box 14428, Melbourne, Victoria 8001.
  3. The Promotion includes monthly surveys (one in June, July, August, and September) sent by the Promoter, that allow the Entrant to complete the survey to go into the draw to win a prize. The Entrant may enter the draw once per each survey that they complete.  There is no requirement to complete every survey. These Terms and Conditions will apply to all surveys in the Promotion with variable particulars such as the relevant entry period (clause 4) and prize details (see clause 21) set out in the relevant email.  
  4. The Promotion will run from Wednesday 4 June 2025 at 8:00am AEST to Tuesday 30 September 2025 at 3:00pm AEST, with entries for each month within that period open as specified in the relevant monthly email (“The Relevant Promotion Period”). Any entry that is received outside of The Relevant Promotion Period will be invalid.
  5. Entrants will receive a confirmation of their entry on the survey form after successful completion of the survey.
  6. The draw will take place within 7 days of the close of the Relevant Promotion Period at Victoria University, Footscray Park Campus.  
  7. The Promoter will randomly select between 1 - 5 Entrants (each a “Winner” or collectively “Winners”) dependent on the prize giveaway as specified in the relevant email.
  8. The Promoter will contact the Winners by telephone (if available) and email to confirm the Entrant is the winning entry for each prize draw.
  9. If contacted by the Promoter, you have 7 days to respond to the Promoter’s contact and accept the prize according to the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not respond, once that period has lapsed, you forfeit your prize, and VU will select another Winner. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.

Eligibility

To be eligible to claim a Prize, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Entry is open to Australian Residents aged 15 years and over. Entrants must be individuals and not companies or other entities. Employees of the Promoter and immediate family members of the Promoter and associated agencies or companies any way involved in the Promotion, are not valid entrants in the Promotion.
  2. Incomplete, illegible, or incorrect entries, or entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, will not be eligible to win.
  3. Entrants must be an accepted member of the VU Early Entry program and complete the monthly survey to be eligible for that corresponding monthly prize.

How to enter

  1. Entrants must complete all required sections of the survey.
  2. Entrants may enter in the Promotion once per monthly prize email.
  3. Entrants must apply during The Promotion Period as above.

Personal Information

By entering the Promotion, the Entrant agrees and acknowledges that:

  1. The Promoter will collect the Entrant’s personal information, including the Entrant’s name, likeness, email address and picture/s for the Promoter’s promotional and publicity purposes, which it will keep in accordance with the VU privacy policy, located at  http://www.vu.edu.au/privacy
  2. By entering the Promotion, the Entrant agrees to receive information and marketing communications from Victoria University.
  3. In the event that the Entrant is a Winner of the Promotion, the Entrant consents to the disclosure, publication and dissemination of their name and likeness for the purposes of the Promotion, and VU’s advertising and marketing purposes (as a Winner of the Promotion).
  4. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the Promotion Period. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late, incorrect, or misdirected entries. The Promoter is not responsible for technical difficulties with the entry mechanism and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times.

Prize Details

  1. Prizes vary each month and will be specified in the relevant email.  Prizes include:
  • AFL tickets
  • gift cards
  • technology and devices
  • other miscellaneous prizes.
  1. Between 1 - 5 Winners will be drawn for each Promotion Period, each receiving one prize.
  2. The winner will receive the prize via email or post depending on the prize.
  3. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.

Decision final

  1. In all matters relating to this Promotion all decisions of the Promoter and its staff will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence or discussions will be entered.
