About Brandy Cochrane

Dr Brandy Cochrane is a lecturer and researcher in criminology at Victoria University.

Brandy's current research focuses on border securitisation and the refugee and asylum-seeking community in Australia. Research and teaching interests include gender, migration, security, methods, crimes of the powerful, critical and queer studies.

Brandy received a PhD from Monash University in 2017 and a MS from Portland State University in 2012.
