We offer a range of opportunities for brands to sponsor and get involved with Student Life at VU, including activations, sampling, sponsorships and online placements.
Orientation and O-Fest (our social program) are two of VU's biggest and most exciting events.
New students are introduced to campus life, and able to learn about VU's academic and social offerings, such as study support and student clubs.

As the start of the academic year, Semester 1, Block 1 sees our largest intake of students. This takes place in early-mid February each year.
During this time, we bring O-Fest to all six campuses, welcoming over 4,000 new students to VU.
In addition to O-Fest, we also host our Block Party event at this time. Around 500 students attend a fun-filled evening of entertainment, with drinks and food provided.
Semester 1, Block 3 is a smaller intake, during which we normally host O-Fest only one or two of our campuses.
This is completely dependant on the intake and can vary in size, generally seeing us welcome 750–1000 new students.
This event typically occurs in April.
Semester 2, Block 1 is our second-largest intake of students. This takes place in July.
Around 3,000 new students attend these events, held across each one of VU's campuses.
Semester 2, Block 3 is our smallest intake of the year, during which we normally hold O-Fest at only one campus.
This is completely dependant on the intake and can vary in size, generally seeing us welcome 300 new students.
This event typically occurs in September.
Student Life maintains a strong online presence, connecting with our students regularly though our newsletter, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
The Student Life newsletter goes out to approximately 26,000 students once a month.
This newsletter features updates for all Student Life activities in the coming weeks and is sent out eight times a year.

Our student deals page is a hub of offers and discounts for VU students.
This page sees around 15,000 hits a year, attracting students from all campuses.
Our Student Leadership program is home to unique and free professional development opportunities to help students develop leadership skills and create strong networks.
A number of events are run as part of this program, including awards nights and conferences.
The VU Student Leadership Awards is held annually in November and celebrate students who have made significant contributions through leadership and engagement.

Sponsorship starts from $500 and includes brand visibility at the ceremony and in promotional materials.

V4U Day is Victoria University's flagship community volunteering event, held each October.
The event brings together students, staff, and alumni to work on a variety of community projects across Melbourne’s western suburbs, supporting local organisations in need.
With expected participation of over 300 volunteers, V4U Day is a dynamic and impactful day of service that strengthens ties between VU and the local community.
People, Place and Planet Fest is our annual celebration of all things environmental.
Focused on sustainability and environment, the festival is held across our campuses, with a range of stalls and activities. This can involve plant giveaways, workshops and free food.
1,100 students took part in the festival in 2024, and we expect even greater numbers for 2025.
Wellbeing Week is centred around mindfulness and taking care of oneself.
In 2024, we took this event to all six VU campuses; introducing therapy dogs, and offering free massages and product giveaways to students.
Approximately 1000 students take part in this event, which typically takes place in September.
