Children from local primary schools will have the opportunity to participate in nutrition, exercise and biology experiments including testing for carbohydrate and examining the function of the heart.
Program co-ordinator Dr Christos Stathis says the program teaches children how to enjoy science.
“Our aim is to positively reinforce the attitudes of the children towards the value of science in the community. Hopefully it will encourage them to continue their science education throughout high school.”
