In the twilight, by the sea, enjoy a night of poetry

Poetry lovers can pack their picnic rugs, mulled wine and poetic disposition and jump aboard a red double-decker bus for Victoria University's twilight poetry tour on 18 March.

The bus will stop for poetry readings from Kristin Henry and Tony Page at some of the most evocative waterways locations in Melbourne's west, all kept secret till the event.

The event is part of Rotunda in the West: Conversations with Australian Writers, presented by VU's Professional Writing and Editing (TAFE) program.

Organiser Bruno Lettieri, a VU writing teacher, says the event is a creative departure for the popular series that has brought literary luminaries such as Helen Garner, John Clarke and Arnold Zable to VU in recent years.

"Since poetry is much more than words, this tour is designed to add ambience by holding the readings in inspiring and fascinating settings,"￾ he said.
