Bendigo students get relaxing massage to ease exam stress

About 800 Year 11 and 12 students from Bendigo Senior Secondary College will receive free shoulder and neck massages to help them ease into final exams as part of Victoria University's Relax and Refocus Roadshow.

The Roadshow team is made up of VU student volunteers keen to offer stressed-out VCE students free services and advice from their study areas, which include remedial massage, nutrition, fitness and psychology.

The team has been busy setting up its massage chairs and equipment at schools across Victoria in recent weeks to help secondary school students relax, refocus their minds, and ask questions about future tertiary study.

"This is another way of us connecting with students and helping them prepare their minds and bodies for the next stage of their study life," said Joanna Clare, Roadshow team organiser.

The team will hold formal and informal relaxation and information sessions all day in Rosalind Park, adjacent Bendigo Senior Secondary College.

The media are invited to meet the VU Roadshow team and speak to participating secondary school students.
