For personalised help, one-to-one consultations are available for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
You can arrange to see an Academic Support & Development lecturer for 30-60 minutes, to help you with your studies. They won't do the work for you, but can answer questions and help improve your skills.

- Select a campus.
- Select which area you need advice or support with (maths or writing).

What to bring to your appointment
Bring anything that might help the lecturer understand your assignment or topic, including:
- the assignment question (if relevant)
- task instructions
- assessment criteria
- a draft of your writing (preferably in hard copy)
- relevant handouts or even textbooks.
Postgraduate students wishing to improve their writing skills can bring in and discuss their research writing, such as proposals, literature reviews, research articles, thesis chapters etc.
It is best to access these sessions well before you need to submit your writing. Please note that the lecturer you see will not be able to edit your work, but can help you to develop your own writing and editing skills.
