Overview

Learn how to confidently manage emergency situations and provide a first aid response to a casualty with the Workplace Level II First Aid Statement of Attainment.

Short course dates and times: 
20 November 2018 9am–4pm Werribee Campus
6 December 2018 9am–4pm Footscray Nicholson Campus

You will gain practical first aid skills and knowledge, including recognition and management of:

  • CPR
  • application of a Defibrillator
  • bandaging and splinting 
  • burns, poisons, bites and stings
  • head, neck and spinal injuries
  • wounds and bleeding
  • choking and shock

The course consists of 7 hours face-to-face learning plus pre-course online theory. You need to complete an eLearning program prior to attending the practical session.

This Statement of Attainment is fully compliant with the Australian Skills Quality Authority and is delivered by experienced trainers. The Statement of Attainment is valid for three years.

Course contents

Students must complete all the assessment components for this unit.

To equip learners with first aid practical skills and knowledge such as: CPR, bandaging and splinting and applying the principles of first aid safety.  

Admission requirements

Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee you entry into this course.

Some courses receive more applications than the number of places available. In this situation we will also assess your education, work and other relevant experience.
